And since Sunday papers across the country are getting thinner and thinner . . .

Azahar has kindly provided this piece of educational wonderment

How Many Countries Can You Name in 5 Minutes?

There are 195 countries in the world. You’ve got 5 minutes to name as many as you can. Go!

I pulled a 61 because of fat-fingered typing.

Think of it as one of those world map puzzles you used to see in grammar school classrooms. Yeah, right . . . but it is pretty damned fun!

Why I blog (with apologies to Metro for my lack of punctuality)

Filed under: blogging, Metro, societal niceties, survey says!, Wordpress, writing — Frontier Former Editor @ 2:06 pm

I’m an idiot on many levels. One of those levels is not knowing when I’ve been tagged by my friends and acquaintances (thanks, Metro)

Five reasons why I blog:

1) Because 14 years of professional writing left me too word-weary to put down all the thoughts I had before

2) Because it makes me think about the crap that comes out of my thought processes

3) Because I like talking with people despite my anti-social exterior

4) Because everyone wants their existence to be acknowledged

5) Because I want to define what I’ve been and will be

That hurt my brain. I’m going to go bleed out my nose and ears for a bit.

I finally live up to the sobriquet ‘smartass’ . . .

Filed under: IQ, survey says!, wits — Frontier Former Editor @ 1:06 am

Smug self confidence beats high self-esteem any day of the week – 25 out of 25, and I didn’t surf for any answers.

 Now I’ll go back to being a slovenly, middle-aged white man who’s actually a semi-octoroon  . . . .
