  2. Confabulation is a terrible thing. I saw this scene and it bit into me back when it was first screened… but I’ve remembered the words of that last verse differently all my life.

    How can you not miss a guy who stuck half a century with his wife and posed with her “American Gothic” style on the label of fig bars from which he donated the profits? And that’s before you even get to the films.
