The not-so-dark Dark One slumbersThe pup is growing nicely – if you’re partial to pet livestock. She’s at about 15 pounds now after bumming a fair-sized slice of beef roast from me this evening. Looks like she’ll be getting her own steak at barbecue time . . . .

  1. Don’t start with that or you’ll find yourself waking up on the patio in the middle of the night, beside the barbeque, with teeth marks on your pjs and a pleading puppy in your face.

  5. At this time of year all of the kids from the neighbouring Farms waltz into my wife’s Gr 2 classroom carrying boxes of free Kittens and Puppies …..
it takes every ounce of her strength to avoid bringing them all home…
and I would let her keep every last one…
    sheesh!

  6. Should be nice roasting size come Thanksgiving, anyway. Nice to see you’re keeping it traditional.

  7. Metro himself wants to lose a few pounds, so maybe you could do a “quickie lipo” on him and stock the freezer at the same time?

  9. @Raincoaster:
When I said I wanted to get rid of a load of deadweight, I didn’t mean my chubby bits.

Have you decided when you might be free to visit again?

Only I will almost certainly need to be out of the country then, terribly inconvenient, I know …
