The not-so-dark Dark One grows stronger!

Taz in a blanketGood news – if I was running a livestock operation . . . .

The general consensus in our household, and among a thoroughly unscientific sampling of about 20 people at two area parks, is that I was a dumbass when I thought I was getting a terrier mix at the local pound.

Based on photos of other breeds, and the above input, we’re pretty sure that we’re the proud owners of a Golden Retriever mix with a spot of chow to make things interesting (note two-tone tongue below, unless the previous owner fed her a magic marker).

tazfang.jpg She’s also officially renamed Taz now, for her penchant of leaving disturbed airspace in her path (I wanted to call her Furball, but no one got the connotation of a chunk of airspace filled with jets, gunfire, missiles and destruction. They thought it was too cute.)

  2. Hey Anna! How’s things? I’ve been rather self-absorbed in Java and HTML the last few days.

  3. Golden retriever and chow? Super, you’ll be able to vacuum her and sell the hair to a knitter! Retirement money!

Also, in temperament terms, you’re way better off now than with a bloody terrier.

  4. Sounds like a great mix. My favourite ever dog was a labrador/samoyd cross. Big smiles all the time. I was happy too.

  6. Gorgeous!!! She looks like she could do with a cuddle, my 4 kids would LOVE her to death 🙂
My dad adopted a dog a few years back, he called her ” Tassie”. So Taz is a cute name 🙂

  8. I’m wondering, actually, with her short legs, if she’s not got something like Corgi in the mix. She’d be taller, you’d think, if she were just chow/retriever.

  9. you may be right raincoaster. she’s got that cute “lollipop head” thing going on that faddish female celebrity seem to crave. so much more appealing in a pup 🙂
