Thunderbirds are go (with suitable credits to Raincoaster)

Filed under: Uncategorized — Frontier Former Editor @ 2:30 pm

Rain had to go and do it again . . . every time she tosses out a new Thunderbirds post, it’s like tossing out a shiny object or free food. I get distracted. So, in pleasant reaction to her opening shot, here’s a few glimpses back at what I got to watch as a kid while so many of you had to settle for The Flintstones and Beany and Cecil and Jonny Quest . . . .

And Dick Cheney, please don’t think I’ve forgotten about you, you scummy-assed neo-fascist amateur National Socialist enemy of the republic.

It’s no coincidence that the Tracy brothers were all named after Gemini Program astronauts

  1. I did not know that about the astronauts. But I am pleased to note that I have a feathery accessory just like Lady Penelope’s. I rather doubt she had to fight a drag queen for it in the aisles of Value Village, but there you go: she leads a relatively quiet and Cthulhu-less life.

  2. Who needs Cthulhu when you have a turbojet powered, pink Rolls Royce with a bubble canopy?

  4. Rain,

Two questions have occurred to me since your reply:

To which feathery accoutrement are you referring?

Did it occur to you that Parker might very well, through the powers of SuperMarionation, have the ability to kick the Dark One’s eternal ass?

  5. I was always attracted to Scott’s dimple as a child. now I’m wondering if this is where my attraction for “wood” began also…
