I could say this blog is under construction, but what a trite, hackneyed statement that would be. We’ll see how things go.

Ah … the Roman Republic
No-one paid much attention to the Slaves & Foreigners and I suppose the Free Citizen-Ladies were too busy having children to have the energy to demand the Vote (it’s problematic being a suffragette if you’ve died in childbirth)
However, the Republic was great, if you were (1) free and (2) a man and (3) a citizen … UNLESS of course you happened to be in the Army, trying to get sense out of Hannibal before breakfast
